Desde 2012 el Colegio los Naranjos forma parte del Programa Oficial de Convalidación Internacional de Títulos del Bachillerato donde los estudiantes españoles reciben la misma titulación que los alumnos estadounidenses al finalizar el High School, que está reconocida en todos los Estados y en todas las Universidades del mundo. También estamos dentro de los 300 mejores colegios de doble titulación en España.
El programa ofrece la oportunidad de obtener dos titulaciones simultáneamente: el Bachillerato del país de origen del alumno, de forma presencial y el Bachillerato Estadounidense, High School Diploma, en un entorno digital.
El sistema educativo estadounidense evalúa a los alumnos por conocimientos y capacidades. Considera que un alumno no tiene que estudiar la misma asignatura (matemáticas, física, literatura…) en dos idiomas diferentes. Salvo aquellas materias específicas del país (lengua, cultura, historia…) De esta forma Académica International Studies puede convalidar al alumno hasta un 75% de los 24 créditos que se exigen para obtener el diploma High School. En nuestro centro, los alumnos deben de cumplir con éxito 6 créditos, incluyendo Inglés, Historia Americana, Gobierno & Economía y varias optativas siempre y cuando mantenga una nota promedio de 7,5.
Con mucha ilusión y ganas de aprender iniciamos el curso de Bachillerato Dual 2020-2021. Este año tenemos 8 alumnos que se graduarán en el programa en Mayo 2021.
Hemos iniciado otro año en el programa con nuevo alumnado, asignaturas y profesores. Tras realizar la prueba de acceso, tenemos 11 alumnos nuevos que forman parte de la familia dual. Actualmente en el programa hay 32 alumnos del centro que participan con el objetivo de conseguir la doble titulación del bachillerato español y el diploma del High School americano.
El grupo está formado por un total de19 alumnas y 13 alumnos de desde 2ESO a 2Bachillerato. Las asignaturas que cursan incluyen Historia Americana, Gobierno de los Estados Unidos y Economía, y este año tenemos varios alumnos que han elegido estudiar la optativa de Criminología, Psicología o Ingenería, cursando la totalidad de contenidos en inglés.

Nuestro alumnado puede acceder al programa, tras la superación de unas pruebas, a partir de 2 ESO hasta 1 BACH y el plazo de preinscripción para el próximo curso se iniciará en primavera 2021.
Since 2012 Colegio los Naranjos has been part of this internationally recognized Dual Diploma program in which Spanish students receive the same certification as American students and complete their high school degree. It is recognized in all 50 States and in universities around the world. Being part of this program also makes us one of the top 300 schools for double diploma certification in Spain.
The program provides the opportunity for obtaining 2 degrees simultaneously, the baccalaureate degree of the student from his home country and the US high school diploma through virtual learning.
The US educational system evaluates students on knowledge and abilities. Spanish coursework such as mathematics, physics, literature is accepted in the US system. Specific subjects like English, American History, Government & Economics and some elective courses are the primary subjects in which the students must complete in order to receive the additional credits and obtain an American high school degree along with their the Spanish Bachillerato. Once the students complete these six additional credits successfully while maintaining an overall average grade of 7.5, they qualify to graduate with both the Spanish and American High School degree.
This year we are very excited to begin the Dual Diploma year for 2020-21. Our graduating class includes eight students scheduled to graduate in May 2021.
As another year begins, we have new students, new subjects and new American teachers. Following the admissions exam there are 11 students who have joined the Dual family. Currently there are 32 students in the center who participate in this program with the objective of graduating with International Dual diplomas.
The group is made up of 19 girls and 13 boys ranging from 2 ESO to 2 BACHILLER. They are working in the aforementioned mandatory subjects, and many of our students have chosen elective courses such as Criminology, Psychology and Engineering, all 100% in English.
