Today our English department organised our first Easter Egg hunt of the year with the first and second graders.
We mixed learning with pleasure using the shape and colour vocabulary that the students have been learning in class. The students were split into 7 teams of 3. Each team had to find 3 eggs specific to their team based on worded instructions – For example, “your team’s shape is a square. Your team’s colours are yellow, blue and pink”.
At the start, the students took turns searching for the eggs but towards the end, everyone joined in to find those last missing eggs!
We finished the activity with a short word puzzle hidden in the eggs.
It was a successful start to the Egg Hunt season!

El comienzo de la búsqueda de huevos de Pascua de 2021
Hoy nuestro departamento de inglés ha organizado nuestra primera búsqueda de huevos de Pascua del año con los estudiantes de primero y segundo de Primaria.
Mezclamos el aprendizaje con placer utilizando el vocabulario de formas y colores que los estudiantes han estado aprendiendo en clase. Los estudiantes se dividieron en 7 equipos de 3. Cada equipo tenía que encontrar 3 huevos específicos para su equipo según las instrucciones redactadas, por ejemplo, “your team’s shape is a square. Your team’s colours are yellow, blue and pink”.
Al principio, los estudiantes se turnaron para buscar los huevos, pero hacia el final, ¡todos se unieron para encontrar los últimos huevos perdidos!
Terminamos la actividad con un pequeño rompecabezas de palabras escondido en los huevos.
¡Fue un comienzo exitoso para la temporada de Egg Hunt!
