Trabajar por proyectos en Infantil es la clave para motivar, desarrollar autonomía, promover la creatividad y fomentar las relaciones sociales de nuestro alumnado.
Sabemos que la música es una herramienta que proporciona bienestar, conocimiento de otras culturas y es elemento motivador y novedoso para el aprendizaje de otras lenguas, por ello decidimos buscar un grupo musical que nos ayudara a integrar la enseñanza de la lengua inglesa de forma divertida y creativa. Así que decidimos realizar un proyecto titulado: “The Beatles”.
Al principio les contamos un breve cuento que resumía la historia del grupo con imágenes de ellos y aludían, como no, a la canción “Yelow Submarine”. Este fue el elemento motivador para continuar investigando, el submarino.
Entre todos confeccionamos un submarino amarillo que lo convertimos en elemento de nuestro fotocall, todo un éxito. El interés de todos iba aumentando!
Seguimos investigando y averiguamos cosas muy interesantes de los Beatles como: dónde nacieron, cómo se llamaban, qué instrumentos tocaban , qué canción fue la más famosa,..Pero no solo esto, utilizamos nuestra PDI ( pizarra digital interactiva) y viajamos en Google Earth hasta Liverpool, calculamos la distancia desde Gandia, con que medio de transporte podíamos ir, del más rápido al más lento, descubrimos la diferencia de una guitarra eléctrica y un bajo, los nombres de cada componente del grupo y relacionarlo con su instrumento…..todo en inglés claro!
Continuamos diferenciando los colores de la bandera de Gran Bretaña, la española y también la francesa, todas las actividades realizadas escuchando y bailando de vez en cuando las canciones de los Beatles.
Pero la investigación continuo……..encontramos elementos característicos de Gran Bretaña muy curiosos , como la típica cabina de teléfono, Big-Ben, policía de la guardia con su espectacular gorro, la Gran Noria, ..
Pudimos elegir a uno de los Beatles y convertirnos en él gracias a unas transparencias que nos realizó una mamá. También jugamos con un pequeño submarino confeccionado por otra familia realizado con material reciclado, …
Al final decidimos finalizar nuestro Proyecto, como no, con un Concierto Pop-Rock formado por un grupo musical muy especial, padres de nuestros peques. Esto si que fue una gran sorpresa. Disfrutamos de lo lindo cantando todos juntos hermosas canciones de los Beatles.

ENGLISH VERSION
Project based learning is a motivating way to help develop autonomy, creativity and strengthen social relations in preschool.
We know that music is an important tool which provides well-being, a knowledge of other cultures and is also a motivating and novel way of learning other languages. Because of this we decided to find a musical group that would help us to integrate English language teaching in a fun and creative way. We chose «the Beatles«.
At the beginning we told the children a short story that summarized the group’s history with images of them and some of their songs, of course this included the song «Yellow Submarine». This was our motivating element which we used to continue investigating.
All together we made a big yellow submarine that we have incorporated into our photo call. What a success! The children loved it and their interest started to grow.
We continued investigating and we found out very interesting things, these led us to create our conceptual map of the Beatles, Including: where they were born, what their names were, what instruments they played, which song is the most famous, .. But not only this!
We made use of our our PDI (interactive digital whiteboard) and we travelled with Google Earth to Liverpool, we found out how far away it is from Gandia, and what means of transport we can use to get there, from the fastest to the slowest.
We looked at and listened to the difference between an electric guitar and a bass guitar, the names of each member of the group and linked them to their instrument …and all in English of course!
But the investigation continued……..we checked out famous British landmarks and objects such as Big Ben, a typical telephone box, the Queen’s guard and the famous London Eye.
We were able to choose one of the Beatles and turn into him thanks to a photo call made by one of our students’ mother. We also played with a mini Yellow Submarine thanks to another family member that was made with recycled material.
We decided to finish our project with a Pop-Rock concert formed by a very special musical group, some of our students parents, this was a big surprise.
All together we enjoyed singing beautiful Beatles songs
It has been a wonderful experience.
