Happy Monday, campers. This week got off to a good start, we have started to make games and also did some really cool braceletes.  After swimming we learned about the meaning of the Olympic Rings, and had a very close game of kickball. In the afternoon, we cooled downed with Pilates and music. Tomorrow, there is more fun planned for you.

It’s hard to believe that we are more than half way through the month of camp. Time flies when you are having fun. Today we worked on an creative balloon art project after swimming and later had fun decorating yummy cookies.
For those who stayed in the afternoon we saw the film, Inside Out and had popcorn and played games.

We have done a lot of things in the last few days including painting and coloring by numbers animals from the 7 continents and we made a lions face with plastic plates and yellow tissue paper. We have played «lion, lion, where are you?» (one of kids hides under the table and the rest have to say lion, lion, where are you? «the lion» has to say where he/she is or is doing and like this, until the «lion» finally gets closer to the group and has to run after them until he/she catches one of them). We decorated cookies yesterday with icing, chocolate, cream and spinkles and tomorrow we are making rice crispie cakes. Also you are all doing very well at the swimming pool.

The I Los Naranjos Olympic Games are near, they will be held next week and everything is almost ready.
Today we have made «goma eva» visors which we can use tomorrow in the excursion. Moreover, as every thursday, we have been cooking at the kitchen. The kids made «chococrispies» and marshmallow treats!

22th July

Yesterday turn out to be a perfect day, it wasn’t so hot and the kids got to enjoy more the outside activities we had plan in «la falconera».
Like last time we where there, the children got to pet a few of the animals but this time we went to feed the beautiful deer named «linda». They were very excited to see such a big and calm animal.
Later on, the monitors had prepared a craft project using a pinecone and clay to make a «mouse». They really enjoy playing with the clay even though making the figure was not so easy for them but at the end it turn out to be a relaxing activity for them.
When finished the craft, the monitors had plan a few water games which the children love and enjoy very so much.
I believe the kids had lots of fun in «la falconera» and should visit more this kind of place because it is a good opportunity for them to learn more about animals in a fun and different way.
