Learning to cook is fun and our 7th graders became Chefs for a day, did they know how to prepare food and use a cooker or oven to cook simple dishes?
For our English class the students were asked to record a video at home preparing a cooking recipe, making a list of the ingredients they needed and following the necessary steps to develop it. Each and every one of them showed a great creativity when developing the activity and had a lot of fun. And best of all….We could all taste in class the dishes made by themselves!!!
Today our students are natives of the “digital natives” growing up immersed in digital technology, they are used to do group activities and their learning has become participative. Therefore, we decided that to give greater visibility to their works, we needed to create a Classroom Blog, in which they would be the sole protagonists and where they could edit their own entries.
By creating this open space we have been able to publish the content, such as their recipes, photos and videos, so that our students can work collaboratively and can make visible the work done by other colleagues in class.

En la asignatura de inglés se les pidió que grabaran en casa un video elaborando una receta de cocina, haciendo una lista de los ingredientes que necesitaban y describiendo todos los pasos necesarios para el desarrollo de la misma. Todos y cada uno de ellos tuvieron una gran creatividad a la hora de desarrollar la actividad y se divirtieron mucho. Y lo mejor de todo…..Pudimos probar en clase los platos elaborados por ellos mismos!!!!
Hoy en día nuestros alumnos y alumnas son “nativos del medio digital “creciendo inmersos en una tecnología digital y su aprendizaje se ha convertido en grupal y participativo. Por la tanto decidimos, que para darle una mayor visibilidad a los trabajos expuestos, crear un Blog de Aula, en el que ellos serían los protagonistas y podrían editar sus propias entradas.
Creando este espacio abierto hemos podido publicar el contenido realizado, como recetas, fotos y videos, para que nuestros alumnos y alumnas puedan trabajar de manera colaborativa y puedan visibilizar los trabajos realizados por otros compañeros y compañeras.
